JOURDAN RESOURCES INC. is pleased to announce the start of a 3,000 metres diamond drilling program on the Company’s wholly owned Barraute Lithium Project (the “Project”), more specifically the Vallée Property, that sits contiguous to the east and south to Canada Lithium Corporation’s Quebec Lithium Project (www.canadalithium.com). The key at the Vallée Property will be to identify the same lithium bearing pegmatites along the 1.8 km strike of the property as those found on the adjacent and contiguous Quebec Lithium Project in order to potentially define compliant Mineral Resources in the near term. Orocobre Limited: First Battery Grade Lithium Carbonate Produced from Salar de Olaroz
Orocobre Limited is pleased to report that it has produced battery grade lithium carbonate from Salar de Olaroz brines.
Orocobre’s analysis shows that the lithium carbonate is of greater than 99.9% purity* and of higher purity than the specifications for battery grade material sold by existing producers. This material was produced by refining a lower purity product previously produced at the company’s facilities at Olaroz with recirculated brines. As such, the Company considers the material to be representative of what could be expected in commercial production. [Read more...]
First Lithium Returns to Mollie River to Continue Drilling
First Lithium Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that it has returned to the Mollie River Property to continue drilling DDH MR-10-10, which was previously drilled to a depth of 194m. The final 9m interval of that core revealed elevated gold and copper levels (see news release March 2, 2011). Project geologist Mark Fedikow stated, “The association of gold mineralization in altered mafic to intermediate intrusions is strongly suggestive of the geologic setting of the Trelawney gold deposits.” Drilling should commence before the end of the week.
