Canadian Zinc and Liidlii Kue First Nation Sign Impact and Benefits Agreement for the Prairie Creek Mine

Canadian Zinc Corporation announces the signing of an Impact and Benefits Agreement (“IBA”) with the Liidlii Kue First Nation with respect to the development and operation of the Company’s Prairie Creek Mine in the Northwest Territories of Canada.

The Liidlii Kue First Nation (“LKFN”), of Fort Simpson, NWT, is a member of the DehCho First Nations. Fort Simpson is the regional capital and largest community within the DehCho Region and is the major supply and communications centre for the Prairie Creek Mine. [Read more...]

Selwyn Resources Ltd.: Closing of the Acquisition of the Assets of ScoZinc Extended to May 31, 2011

Selwyn Resources Ltd. advises that it has completed its technical due diligence activities for the ScoZinc Limited assets. Selwyn and Acadian Mining Corporation (“Acadian”) have mutually agreed to extend the deadline to complete the transaction to May 31, 2011. Alexander Mining plc: Encouraging Preliminary Results from AmmLeach® Amenability Testwork on Rio Cristal’s Charlotte Bongara Zinc Oxide Property in Peru

- Alexander and Rio Cristal are discussing further AmmLeach® amenability testwork on representative samples from Charlotte Bongara

Alexander is pleased to announce that initial AmmLeach® amenability test work conducted by Alexander’s wholly owned subsidiary, MetaLeach Limited, in late 2008 for Rio Cristal Resources Corporation on its Charlotte Bongará zinc oxide property (‘Charlotte Bongará’) in Peru produced encouraging results. Red Crescent Resources Files NI 43-101 Report on Its Hakkari Zinc Project on SEDAR

Red Crescent Resources Limited (TSX:RCB) announced that a National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate report was filed today on SEDAR for its Hakkari Zinc Project located in south-east Turkey.

The Hakkari Zinc Project is Red Crescent’s primary focus of activity and in the 2011 season is targeting an upgrade of the reported resource to 10Mt @ 15% Zinc equivalent. [Read more...]
